Bowling Green School

Bowling Green junior School in Stainland have just completed a 6 week multi skills activity programme run by the CCCT. Year 3 and year 5 pupils took part in various activities and progressed well throughout the programme. The school also got involved in the Rugby League World Cup "Haka" programme with Frank Watene and will be amounst the 500 Calderdale school children doing the haka on the Shay pitch prior to the Tonga v Italy game on 10th Novenber.

Newsome High School

The CCCT are delivering wheelchair tag rugby league at Newsome High School in partnership with the Huddersfield Giants community staff including Glenn Holdsworth.  Pupils who participated also got to see the Super League leaders plate that the giants won this year.

Plans are in place for delivery of wheelchair rugby league in Todmorden High, Trinity Academy & Halifax High after half term. We are also looking for schools to participate after Xmas.

St Josephs Halifax

St Josephs Primary School, in Halifax have been taking part in a 6 week multi sports activity session run by the CCCT. The programme is rugby league based small sided games sessions, which are resulting in the participants learning skills that will assist them if and when they participate in the game. Key stage 1 and year 6 pupils are taking part in the sessions, with the year 6's entering a World Cup Tag RL event being held at Park Lane High School. The pupils are learning teamwork, communication skill, catching, passing & tag skills.

Nandos Donation



Nandos Halifax kindly donated £252 to the CCCT for our work together both at the charity gala and the Halifax food festival this year. A group of Bluebelles accepted the cheque on our behalf before enjoying a well earned Nandos peri peri chicken
